Please reach us at rusty@valleylivescan.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

All individuals signing documents for notarization must be present in person.  Documents should NOT be signed prior to notary process. The document(s) should be complete with NO blanks/spaces to be completed later.  Documents can be emailed to Valley Live Scan before your appointment for printing for a nominal fee.

All signers MUST have a valid/unexpired state-approved form of identification.  This must be one of the following:

  • ID Card or Driver's License issued by the California Department of Motor Vehicles
  • United States Passport
  • Inmate ID card issued by California Department of Corrections or Sheriff's Department (in custody inmates only)

Alternatively, if one of the above items is unavailable, the signer(s) may use one of the following forms of identification:

  • Valid passport issued by a foreign government
  • ID Card or Driver's License issued by another U.S. state (NOT Puerto Rico)
  • Driver's License issued by Canadian or Mexican public agency
  • US Military ID card that contains a photograph, physical description, signature and serial number
  • Employee ID card issued by an agency or office of the state of California or any City/County within California that contains a photograph, physical description, signature and serial number
  • Consular identification document that contains a photograph, physical description, signature and serial number
  • ID card issued by a federally recognized tribal government

If none of these items are available, credible witnesses may suffice.  You must contact us beforehand to make sure all criteria can be met for witnesses.

Simply call, text or WhatsApp us at (818)615-0703. We will arrange a convenient appointment for the services needed and review with you the items needed for a successful visit.  You can also email us at rusty@valleylivescan.com with a description of the services and timeframe needed and we will get back to you directly.

California Notaries Public are prohibited from performing any duties that may be considered as the practice of law.  The notary's responsibility is only to carry out notarial activities (CA Business and professions code §6125).

The time it takes to notarize a document depends on the complexity of the notarization and the number of documents to be notarized. We work efficiently to ensure that all documents are notarized in a timely manner.   Generally speaking, it takes under 5 minutes per signature.
